In this section, we’ll describe our approach to health, what to expect in this course, and how to set yourself up for success.
Hi welcome to GR8 Life Tribe we’re so glad you’ve decided to join us for this program Balanced Life Whole-Person Health. Our greatest motivation is helping you create meaningful change in your life. We are tribe that empowers, motivates, and inspires you to move toward greater health and happiness. Through that process, we strive to create a ripple effect that transforms the world. We want to help you discover what’s true to you and your health journey so that you can inspire others do the same. Over the next six modules, you’ll explore four pillars physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. We chose these topics not only because paying attention to them is important but because not paying attention to them can impact your health in more ways than you may realize. We will dive more into the meaning of whole person health in the next section, but for now, let’s set you up for success by highlighting some exciting features and the overall structure of this program. First, we encourage you to go through this course with an open mind. Some of what you learn might be familiar to you, but we encourage you to think about whether or not it aligns with where you are right now. Some of what you learn might be unfamiliar, and it might not resonate with where you are right now. That’s perfectly okay. We want you to think about the content, choose a few things here and there to explore and try, and then make small sustainable shifts in ways that work best for you. Meet yourself where you are without judgment. Second, we use an experiential approach to learning. This program isn’t one size fits all. It’s designed for you to create your own plan that supports your current health goals and needs. Because of that, no two people will have the same experience. Throughout this program, you’ll reflect on what works for you in relation to your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, and develop personalized plans for future exploration. Like your overall experience with health and wellness, your experience with this program will be unique because you are unique. We’ll provide you with opportunities to investigate various aspects of whole-person health. We will also be checking in with you at the beginning and the end of each module to help frame the content.
Due to the current health concerns we’ve all had to learn how to take care of ourselves and others in new ways. We’ve all had to shift our habits and our mindsets in order to do the best we can in our current situation from financial hardship to working and teaching from home. All this brand-new timeless teaching content proves that wellness goes far beyond trends, the foundation remains the same. It’s you who has the power to continually adapt to your changing needs and circumstances.
In this module, we’ll introduce you to what health means here at GR8 Life Tribe and how we take a whole-person health approach.
By the end of this module, you’ll be able to:

You’ll also be introduced to your Whole-Person Health Journal. This is a valuable reflection tool that will accompany you throughout the program and you’ll use it with the try it out sections at the end of modules 1 through 5.
